Title Accounting Clerk

Key Relationships

Reports to: Senior Accountant

Direct reports: N/A

Other key relationships: Across Departments


Goals and Objectives

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for data entry, reporting and assisting Senior Accountant with daily accounting tasks. This position provides support to all cross-functional operating departments relating to accounting needs.


Major Responsibilities

  • Invoice management (copy, list, data entry, timerberline and possible follow up with vendors)
  • Assist with monthly billing and reporting
  • Work with team on COI's (Certificate of Insurance)
  • Statement reconciliation
  • Expense Report processing
  • Payroll data entry and assist with month end reallocations
  • W9 Follow up and yearly 1099 processing
  • Month end filing miscellaneous administrative duties
  • Assist month end draw compilation & reconciliation task

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of Hawaiian values, history and culture, understanding its implication in one's work, in fostering meaningful relationships, and in embracing the community served.
  • 1 year experience as an Accounting Clerk or Accounts Payable Coordinator.
  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience in the private club and/or hospitality industry is highly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong Attention to detail - highly organized, time-management.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent data entry skills and visual acuity.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable and purchasing functions.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Service and customer focused attitude.
  • Experienced in written and oral business communications.
  • Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e. email, internet, tournament and database.
