Accounting Clerk

Goodwill TalentBridge is recruiting an Accounting Clerk in this direct hire role with our client, a national manufacturer with offices in Milwaukee.

This role performs general accounting clerical duties including data entry, document storage and system maintenance. Other duties include entering of tax exemptions, responding to and resolving customer inquiries related to tax, coordinating the credit process, and general accounting related tasks and duties. Adaptability, high level of organization and accuracy are required to be successful in this role. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, update and maintain customer information within company systems
• Monitor and resolve all invoice tax discrepancies
• Enter tax exemptions into company systems and company tax folder
• Prepare all new client forms
• Prepare credit check paperwork and collect references
• Learn department-wide duties and tasks & provide coverage as needed to other roles
• Other duties as assigned/needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting related field preferred
• High School Diploma/GED required and/or equivalent relevant education/experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable and/or general accounting, may consider equivalent internship experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and ability to effectively apply
• Great Plains Accounting Software experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Office products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
