Position Description

The Accounting Assistant contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its customers through providing general support to the Accounting Department, primarily focused in the areas of document control and accounts payable administration. Performs data entry, records maintenance and assists with other various projects.

  • Reviews and enters subsistence/expense requests into Viewpoint.
  • Checks POs on newly received invoices.
  • Reconciles vendor statements.
  • Maintains accounts payable compliance and document control.
  • Files all approved and unapproved invoices.
  • Attach invoices to check back-ups, filing back-ups.
  • Works cooperatively with other accounting staff and assists in times of peak workload and/or vacations.
  • Provides backup coverage to receptionist on a daily basis.
  • Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
  • Due to customer service demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • One to three years Previous accounting experience.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting helpful.
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and ability to learn/use ViewPoint software.
  • Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
