We are looking for a skilled accounts Payable clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts Payable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. You will also be in charge of doing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.
Day to day activities include:
- Maintain Booking Databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
- Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
- Pay third parties or employees by scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase orders, insuring credit is received for outstanding bills, and issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
- Track Budget Expenses
- Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profit and loses
- Update client accounts based on payment or contact information
- Collect payments from customers and accurately record it into the system
Position Requirements
- 2+ year(s) of administrative or office-related experience
- Experience with billing, quality assurance, and scheduling a plus
- Experience in service industry environment a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone of voice at all times
- Possess polite, confident, and excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Very self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn new software, including Xactimate® and proprietary software
- Minimum of HSD/GED preferred
- Able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
