Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Staff Accountant, you are a key member of the finance team. You have the opportunity to make a difference. Our team works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and our mission, to care like family. In this role:

  • You will be provide direct support and analysis related to the daily financial operations of the facility.
  • You will assist with the monthly close of the hospital’s books, preparation of the work-papers for the annual Medicare cost report, the annual Corporate Tax Package, and preparation of the annual hospital budget. You will ensure that assigned general ledger accounts are reconciled timely on a monthly basis and all reconciling items are resolved within 30 days.
  • You will be responsible for projects and analysis as directed by the Controller
  • You will work with Centralized Accounts Payable and Director/Managers in preparing and sending daily check requests and invoices to AP for payment and with new Vendor set-up.
  • You will work with Assistant Controller in maintenance of PLUS and monthly reporting of hospital statistics.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Must have strong computer programs such as excel, access and other data base systems.
  • Must be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
  • Must be organized, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, with excellent computer skills.


This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
