Account Specialist II

What the day will look like
The Account Specialist II will assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients (including complex clients) and undertaking the client-facing and internal activities related to these processes. Account Specialists will also assist Brokers as necessary particularly on Commercial Risk business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Maintains effective and productive relationships with clients. Serves independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity. May act as placing broker on simple routine placements or renewals.
- Gathers and analyzes data on exposures, loss history and both standard & unique coverage needs for our clients.
- Performs submission assembly/creation where assigned. Facilitates the timely and accurate flow of information between clients, AE and Broker account team members. Will work directly with the Brokerage Unit and monitor the marketing process from start to finish.
- Manages client open items lists and responds to client ad-hoc requests.
- Gathers and analyzes data and drafts assigned elements of stewardship reports and other presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and the circumstances of the presentation.
- Actively supports and monitors the renewal process. At the direction of the Broker, drafts quote comparisons and follows up for binders, policies and endorsements.
- Where applicable, serves as the primary interface with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed effectively and at a high quality for client deliverables.
- Primary interface with PASC on client administration matters.
- Receives and manages routine and complex coverage inquiries and endorsement requests. Serves as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, WC posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, contract reviews, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.
- Understands and works in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results and Values.
- Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements. Ensures tools are understood and used (including, but not limited to Broker Desktop, Bridge, Aon Avenue, Time Tracking, AonLine and Client Service Exchange. Monitors and follows-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables and collections. Addresses and resolves problems.
- May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist. Delegates work to support staff and ACS where applicable.
- Ensures all electronic files are properly maintained and always kept up to date.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
- Property & casualty insurance license, or to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Experience
- Typically, at least 3-5 years of successful insurance experience, preferably with corporate accounts/customers.
- Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is required.
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $60,000 to $89,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
