ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate electronic and manual remittance processing from multiple pay sources including Medicaid, Medicare, and Managed Care
- Coordinate and electronic and manual remittance processing from multiple pay sources (Insurance companies)
- Review aging Reports
- Rebill and adjust claims as necessary
- Post denials and update spreadsheets
- Follow up with payer regarding issues or denials
- Communicate with direct care program staff as needed
- Work as part of the interdepartmental team in the development and implementation team in the development and implementation of standardized billing processes
- Supports the agency mission, vision, and code of ethics as stated in the agency’s Personnel Policies Manual
- Batch and submit claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and MCO
- Review denial responses
- Follow-up with payer regarding issues or denials
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- 3 years of progressive work experience in related field is required
- Experience working with Medicaid, Medicare and Managed Care
- Experience with Electronic billing software
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word and Outlook and overall computer proficiency
