Account Manager (Local Travel Only, OTE $70K-$100K+)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000 + Uncapped Commission
OTE: 1st Year $70,000-$90,000 // 2nd Year $85,000-$105,000

Account Manager (Local Travel Only, OTE $70K-$100K+) Description

Our client in the telecommunications industry is looking for a goal-oriented Account Manager to add to their team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this position, you will spend 50% of your time working in the office researching new business opportunities, calling potential customers, and setting appointments. You will spend the other 50% of your time in the field traveling locally to meet with customers to assess their needs and provide business solutions. The ideal candidate will know what it takes to “hunt” for leads and convert those leads into new business opportunities. Our client’s closing percentage is around 70%, so there is significant potential once you have your foot in the door. This opportunity is available to Sales professionals at all stages of their career from any industry. To be successful, you must be comfortable learning about technology-based products, present yourself in a professional manner, and display a high level of integrity and trust. Account Manager (Local Travel Only, OTE $70K-$100K+) Responsibilities

  • Locate, research, and generate new sales opportunities
  • Contact potential customers and set appointments
  • Meet with customers to learn their needs
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach
  • Respond to customers with appropriate solutions that meet their business requirements
  • Prepare and give client presentations
  • Collaborate with internal support team on proposal generation
  • Nurture existing client base
  • Become knowledgeable about the company’s product line and available options

Account Manager (Local Travel Only, OTE $70K-$100K+) Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience is required
  • Prior experience “hunting” for sales leads and business opportunities is required
  • Ability to work in the office & travel locally to client sites is required
  • Reliable transportation is required
