Position Overview:

As the Regional Vice President (RVP) for SumTotal Accounts, you will lead a team of 6 dedicated account managers, providing them with the guidance, mentorship, and support needed to excel in their roles. Your deep understanding of the SumTotal software platforms, support, professional services, and internal processes will be crucial to ensuring the success of your team and our clients. Your ability to exceed quotas and manage up will be key to driving growth and achieving our ambitious goals.

In this role you will…

  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performance sales team
  • Interact with and influence senior client leadership to ensure a very high level of customer satisfaction & referenceable customers
  • Partner with related sales, marketing, and support resources in the successful advancement of critical opportunities and market penetration
  • Manage expense priorities and broad-based costs to ensure comprehensive territory coverage
  • Manage a book of business/quota
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand our client base, increase revenue, and exceed sales quotas.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, providing team members with ongoing training, feedback, and opportunities for professional development.
  • Monitor forecast (risks and opportunities), performance metrics, and KPIs, implementing adjustments as needed to optimize team performance and ensure alignment with company objectives.

You have what it takes if you have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or account management within the LMS or HR Tech SaaS industry, with knowledge of SumTotal Systems preferred.
  • Creativity and proficiency in supporting team’s sales cycles, including prospecting activity, qualifying opportunities, elevating to executive decision makers, negotiating and closing sales and generating repeat business.
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quotas, with a demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and inspire high-performing Account Managers.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to interact effectively with corporate management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on strategic planning and business development.
  • Ability to manage discretionary expenses.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

Total Rewards:

At Cornerstone, our transparent total rewards program is based on three core tenets: equitable pay, market dynamic research, and skill-based appraisal.
The base salary range for this position is: $138500 - $221600 USD
In addition to competitive base pay, the compensation package for this role may include other incentives like bonus or commission, along with a generous benefits package. Additional base pay may be available if you reside in a high-cost metro area (New York City or San Francisco Bay Area).
This range reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position. Where an individual’s pay falls within the range is determined by factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
