Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide accurate and timely evaluations of transfer coursework for both prospective and current students. This individual will provide assistance to transfer students, maintain transfer credit modules, policies and procedures, and develop Transfer Guides. They will also support other areas of the Registrar’s Office such as student record maintenance, graduation, or service learning. Security Access: High Incumbent has access to restricted or confidential personnel and student information and must comply with the terms of the policies of regulatory requirements of Mercy College and affiliates as they relate to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate student transcripts to determine transferability of credits to Mercy College degree
    programs. Work with faculty to determine equivalencies. Update student transcripts.
    Create, monitor, update, and support the computerized Transfer Credit Evaluation modules.
  • Maintain current knowledge of articulation/alliance agreements/transfer credit policies; working with
    articulation and equivalency processes.
  • Develop and determine appropriate Transfer Guides with other higher education institutions.
  • Primary contact for students requesting transfer credit information, guest students, and student
    withdrawals.
  • Monitor and assist with graduation/commencement process, term schedules, file maintenance, and
    service learning projects.
  • Prepare degree audits for graduation, letters of verification, transcripts, and diplomas.

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or 60 or more College Credits
  • Two years student services experience
  • Ability to work with detailed, factual information from a variety of sources.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service commitment and a continuous quality focus.
  • Knowledge of Colleague preferred.

$16.26 - $22.36 /hour
