Answers For Autism LLC, a brand new in-home ABA provider operating out of Robbinsville NJ, is seeking passionate, caring new team members to work with individuals on the autism spectrum in the home and/or the community. The areas we are currently looking to serve are Robbinsville, Hamilton, Bordentown, Trenton, Lawrenceville, Princeton, Burlington, Chesterville, Hightstown, Cranbury, East Windsor and West Windsor. ABA therapists will be hired on a per-diem basis, with future potential of full-time hours depending on availability. Typical case loads are 10-15 hours a week in the afternoon/evening hours, but this can vary.
We take pride in providing the training and support for any aspiring ABA providers. Extra incentives are provided, including supervision, for any new team members who are actively pursuing either RBT, BCaBA, or BCBA certifications. We are also looking to foster a team spirit and may provide monthly/quarterly team building experiences (e.g. dining, bowling, etc.) depending on the interest of team members.
In addition, we utilize a pay-for-performance model to ensure that you are adequately compensated for the great work you do!
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral training to clients through following programs written for you by a trained BCBA.
- Collaborate weekly with BCBA on progress and concerns of the client.
- Take data during your 1-3 hour sessions and input into a data collection software provided to you.
- Use timers, token economies, and other behavioral aid techniques to provide structure to ABA sessions while keeping them fun.
- Take objective session notes promptly at the end of each session.
- Communicate promptly with families and BCBA to coordinate scheduling, and arrive to sessions on-time.
Job Requirements:
- Current college student/Bachelor's degree/Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, OR
- High School Diploma and at least 5 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Reliably transport yourself up to 30 miles away to visit families in-home.
- Must be able to physically lift or carry 50 pounds, as well as be able to reasonably prevent elopement or give chase as necessary to ensure client safety.
- Be able to follow directions from BCBA supervisor and demonstrate compassion, patience, and prompt communication.
