Job description
An ABA supervisor will work closely with the BCBA Program Manager in the Inland Empire to implement behavior treatment plans for clients and families. This position will also work face to face with clients and supervise direct service staff that provides ABA therapy.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Must have a master's degree in a related field of education, psychology, sociology, or social work, and child development.
Must have ABA coursework credit or be currently enrolled in ABA classes
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, evaluate, and modify behavior programs/treatment plans and/or goals for a caseload of clients with various developmental disabilities, and/or severe behavior problems.
- Monitor effectiveness of treatment approach and modify program as needed
- Design and deliver behavior intervention plan implementation, training, and other related in-service programs, including client- specific intervention training to staff and parents.
- Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.
- Provide training/consultation/support for direct interventionists and parents.
- May need to provide consultation and support in a school setting to teaching staff in implementing programs with challenging students. Consultation will include, but is not limited to, school psychologists, site and district administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, parents/guardians, and DIS providers.
- Collaborate with families in the development of behavior support strategies.
- Collect fidelity and reliability data according to various forms of measurement
- Utilize nonviolent crisis prevention intervention (CPI) approved procedures to de-escalate problem behaviors and ensure safety during crisis situations
- Effectively manage caseload, prepare and submit all required documentation in a timely manner
- Timely submission of billing documents, reports, and other materials
- Attend staff meetings and professional development meetings
- Stand, sit twist, kneel, bend-over, crouch down, walk, & sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time as well as lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs without assistance from another adult
- Maintain reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle
- Maintain certification necessary to work in a behaviorist capacity in a school district and a valid driver’s license
WORK HOURS/DAYS
Full-time, 30-40 hours per week, with flexible hours
