DEPT: THQ Finance STATUS: Exempt SALARY RANGE: $85,000- $93,328.29

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for supervision of accounts payable processing for the Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) and Territorial Headquarters.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities

  • Supervise accountant(s) and/or clerks who will be processing various receivables and journal entries.
  • Review and approve work performed by accounts payable staff.
  • Correspond with management, field units and vendors for troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Supervise or complete processing of payment runs, including check printing and/or creation/submission of ACH payment file to the bank.
  • Communicate with employees/officers or vendors for resolution of payables issues.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

  • Review and post daily cash/bank transactions from various bank accounts.
  • Maintain cash balance for main checking account.
  • Pull Reports from BofA and send daily email with bank balances.
  • Post (JE) Income with Donations processed through Donation Portfolio System including various donation facilities and National HDQ
  • Process donations for DHQs for Benevity, Yourcause, NHQ (monthly disbursements, Classy, Classy PayPal)
  • Work with CRD in reconciling Portfolio to cash
  • Clearing Account Reconciliation
  • Bank of America Revolving Account Reconciliation
  • Manage Outstanding checks THQ bank accounts – research unclaimed property.
  • Other accounting-related tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Personal Computer in a Network Environment
  • 10 Key - Touch

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • MS Word and Outlook – good written and oral communication skills. Able to complete business correspondence with proper etiquette and grammar.
  • MS Excel – familiar with the creation and use of spreadsheets and able to add/edit formulas.
  • Experience with Shelby software a plus.
  • Must be motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, adaptable, work well with a team and able to handle confidential matters with discretion.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of accounts payable staff.
