ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:

• Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system O&M;
• Coordinate and implement field projects, oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling, and overseeing treatment system operations;
• Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
• Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;
• Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
• Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; and
• Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
• ArcGIS experience and certification is a plus.

Here are some other things you should know about this position:

• Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
• Fieldwork: Up to 70%
• Overnight travel: Up to 40%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

• Bachelor s degree in geology or environmental science (required)
• Advanced degree in geology or environmental science. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of professional services consulting experience that includes environmental field investigation, construction monitoring in the field, execution of Phase I/Phase II environmental assessments, evaluation of environmental data, and presentation of technical solutions in a variety of written and oral format. (preferred)
• Observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling and logging using the USCS classification, groundwater sampling, and other field techniques. (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and take directions with willingness to support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified California locations below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec s total compensation package for employees. Based on state and federal requirements, this position may be hourly and overtime-eligible or salaried eligible for straight-time overtime. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

• Minimum Wage: $22.81/hour or $64,480/year / Maximum Wage: $31.00/hour or $73,225/year (Fresno)
