As a leading designer and fabricator of custom acrylic point-of-purchase displays, Exactec associates work directly with leading retailers and brands like Target, CVS, Loreal and Philips to create shopping experiences seen every day. The Engineer is responsible for several duties at Exactec, including designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, plant layout and introducing new products to production. Identifies and develops process and equipment to improve production of specific products, parts, and components. A broad knowledge base of a wide variety of processing methods is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Print out any SolidWorks prints for estimating / sales

· Make DXF files for laser department

· Help sales design and produce new projects

· Take clients 3d design and break it down to something we can make

· Make plant prints

· Make control prints for outsource parts

· Make catalog prints for Target

· Create die lines for artwork

· Redesign / rev changes on 3D models

· Use Global Shop to assist in manufacturing

· Determine material for protos / production

· Reverse engineer parts / assemblies

· Ensure proper product fit with customers supplied products

· Help with plant manager to make router statements

· Decide best machining practice

· Assist assembly team with flame jigs and answers to any questions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook software, MS Project

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Well developed written communication and interpersonal skills; “Multi-tasker” with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• 3D CAD Software
• Sheetmetal, wood fabrication and Plastic knowledge is a must

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Understanding of SolidWorks, AutoCAD other lean techniques.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
