2ND Shift Forklift Operator
Job description
Position Description:
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, assembly lines, machines, loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities.
Tasks of the position:
- Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
- Stacking goods in the correct storage areas, following inventory control instructions.
- Checking loads are secure.
- Stacking empty pallets.
- Safety apparel (PPE) and uniform mandatory.
- Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 LBS and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet.
- Perform tasks that require continuous reaching, grasping, twisting, leaning, and bending.
- Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturday's, shutdown days, and holidays as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including ISO 9001/ISO 14000 and QOS Adherence where applicable, and MAI Companies' Associate Handbook and Safety Manual.
- Work in a standing position for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining forklift license.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Perform tasks that require continuous reaching, grasping, twisting, leaning, and bending.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates in the organization.
- Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, using weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Possess organizational, priority/time management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed.
- The applicant must be Certified and Qualified and will need to be able to perform at production speed within 90-days. Training will be provided.
Qualifications (Education/Training):
- High School diploma or GED
- Up to 6-months related experience or training
- The associate will receive 30, 60, and 90-day evaluations

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
