COACHING STIPEND
The stipend range is as follows:
- 0-2 Years Experience: $7,831
- 3-5 Years Experience: $8,223
- 6+ Years Experience: $9,006
Coaching stipends are split into three installments (1/3 each month) and paid on the 25th of the month.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head Football Coach at Springfield High School for the 2023-2024 School Year. This person is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Springfield High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. Springfield High School is committed to creating a more inclusive and diverse student and staff population, so we seek candidates with demonstrated potential to contribute positively to our diverse community. The Assistant Coach is expected to conduct him/herself in a loyal, honest, responsible, ethical and professional manner at all times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
High School coaching experience;- Football knowledge and playing experience;
- Experience and ability to work with high school students;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;
- Valid First Aid Card;
- Availability for daily practices and games;
- Ability to be District Van Certified;
- Good organizational skills;
- Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
- Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
- Ability to work with individuals and large groups, parents and booster clubs;
- Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.

On August 19th, 2021, Gov. Kate Brown announced that all Oregon K-12 educators, staff, coaches and volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated by October 18th, 2021.
