About Digital Commercial Technology at UPS Technology:

Members of Digital & Commercial Technology Strategy & Planning team work as the liaison between business groups and the technical teams at UPS Information Technology to create solutions that are the most efficient and cost effective product to meet the needs of the business. They manage projects that help UPS realize the most business value and resolve risks and issues in a timely fashion that allows for critical paths not to be impacted. They analyze competitor’s offerings as well as provide production support for individual customer issues and system wide impacts (outages, security issues, etc.).

About this role:

The Senior User Representative supports applications and systems as a Product Owner. The Product Owner position evaluates work generated by a software scrum team, matching and prioritizing the features and functionality of the product to obtain maximum performance to the benefit of the end user. Other duties include scheduling and leading meetings to identify product issues, determining roadmaps for products and managing daily goals and schedules to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and advise the scrum team to meet software expectations
• Manage the product development team to create a strong end product
• Decompose Epics into Features and User Stories
• Nurture ideas and solutions to existing customer problems
• Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals
• Extract and retrieve information and data sets to improve upon software
• Determine roadmaps for products in the creation phase
• Work closely with the scrum team throughout the development process
• Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects
• Leverage design thinking when working through customer experience enhancements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a product owner in the industry
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
• In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Successful track record of developing products within deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience
