Description:
The Doudna Lab at the Gladstone Institutes is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (RA) with expertise in virology and antiviral drug discovery and development. Current projects include new approaches to study SARS-CoV-2 and other RNA viruses, and we are collaborating with several labs across UCSF and the Gladstone Institutes to generate and test new antiviral compounds. The RA in this position will require a combination of wet lab molecular biology techniques, tissue culture, and bioinformatics. We are looking for a candidate who is not only passionate about their research, but also able to communicate effectively with team members and collaborate with colleagues in other labs. Qualifications:

Associate's degree and 2+ years relevant experience

BA/BS degree in biological sciences

One or more years of wet lab experience, preferred

Bioinformatics or programming experience, preferred

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Attention to detail in experimental techniques and record keeping

Demonstrated ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively
