We are currently seeking a Openshift Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Responsibilities:
- Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate microservices and event driven integrations
- Solutioning
- Engineer new capabilities to the OpenShift Platform, and delivering those capabilities in a fully automated and supportable fashion
- Maintain the security, stability, and performance of the Openshift Container platforms
- Researching and implementing ways to automate
- Understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available
- Work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of the following:
- Container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Ansible Playbook and Ansible Tower
- Developing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Splunk and dashboard creation.
- Upgrading and patching a k8s cluster and applications in the cluster.
- Managing and implementing the security within Kubernetes.
- Agile environment (Jira, Confluence)
- RedHat Linux RHEL 6/7/8, Kubernetes observability / logging - Grafana, Prometheus
Preferences:
- CI/CD application deployment experience.
- Networking concepts and have worked more than 3+ years on managing the networking with K8's.
- Building a supportable repeatable k8s cluster with deployed applications.
- Network and container/Linux security related to k8s.
Education:
- Degree, certification, or commens
