Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

Responsibilities for this Position:
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a Kubernetes Engineer for the Multipurpose Interactive Trainer, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for replacing a legacy orchestration engine in order to improve dynamic allocation capability, aligning with the containerized solution employed across the SWFTS community.

- Deploying and operating production services
- Designing, architecting, and building a clustered, highly available, scalable infrastructure
- Includes infrastructure operating systems, storage and network components, and manager/worker nodes
- Building and deploying automation workflows
What sets you apart:
- Experience designing, architecting, and building a clustered, highly available, scalable infrastructure, to include infrastructure operating systems, storage and network components, and manager/worker nodes
- Experience building automation workflows for deploying and operating virtual machines and containers/pods at scale
- Experience building automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning and management, to include manager/worker nodes and network component
- Experience working with air-gapped (i.e., off-line) systems
