We are looking for an experienced, creative, and passionate Executive Chef to join our team. This role qualifies for the 8% Leadership Bonus Program.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a professional kitchen and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, ordering, inventory, and staff training. The Executive Chef will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment and for ensuring that all food is prepared according to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that are creative, cost-effective, and consistent with the restaurant’s concept
- Create and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Monitor food quality and safety standards
- Monitor and control food costs
- Manage inventory and order supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with food suppliers
- Develop and implement new recipes
- Monitor kitchen staff performance
- Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Experience with menu planning and cost control
- Knowledge of food trends and new cooking techniques
- Passion for food and cooking
Requirements
- Food service or culinary education, ideally a bachelor's degree
- Possess a food handler's permit
- ServSafe certification
- Willing to work a flexible schedule
- Physical stamina to stand while working six to eight hours a day
