What will you be doing?

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software for the Risk Finance and Trade (RFT) Securitized Products (SP) IT team.
• Responsible for designing and developing frameworks to integrate risk and analytics with external vendors using different project methodologies, including Agile Project Methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Migrate and integrate existing risk runs to new interfaces using use tools and technologies such as Java/J2EE, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle (including SQL, table design, indexing techniques, stored procedures, transactions, and performance optimization).
• Provide level two support of SP End of Day batches on Beowulf and Radial.
• Liaise with business users and development teams to clarify requirements and provide status updates.
• Analyze evolving business requirements, develop whiteboard solution architectures, manage projects through the project life-cycle, build requirements for implementation, and resolve issues on the path back to Business As Usual operations.

What we’re looking for:

Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience as a System Analyst, Software Engineer or related position. Must have experience with: Software development lifecycle with SQL server to make changes to the database tables, queries and stored procedures. Deploying the UNIX server on the backend of applications. Using the front end of applications stacks to deploy on the Windows Server. Utilizing agile methodology and SCRUM for software development. Participating in SCRUM calls and using JIRA to track tasks, provide estimates and updates. Supporting securitized products business, risk managers and sales people while understanding business requirements. Working with Java to develop back end applications while making code changes and debugging the code to identify issues. Utilizing Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, SPARQL, Oracle Spatial, and Splunk.
