This position is responsible for performing and overseeing accounting and financial transactions. Accountant responsibilities include but may not be limited to reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and assisting with the preparation of month-end close procedures. This position will maintain one, or a combination of, generally accepted accounting systems.

Essential Duties:

Perform financial analysis and reconciliation on G/L accounts

Assist with audits as needed, including researching supporting documentation

Post journal entries

Maintain fixed assets database

Maintained Business Licenses and Sellers Permits

File sales tax reports

File Business Property Statements for both corporate and all retail store locations

Calculate rent percentages according to the terms of executed Lease Agreements

Support month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processes

Communicate with customers to address any past due invoices on their account

Coordinate with business partners to ensure contact information is updated within all finance systems

Maintain accounting records and file in accordance with retention policy and procedures

Back-up support person for bi-weekly payroll processing

Support Assistant Controller with financial process improvements

Assisting with other special accounting projects from time to time

Other duties as assigned
